Good evening ladies and gentlemen of NG, today I have a small question that I’m not so sure how to answer:

Am I an asshole if I tell people to stop using AI to make art?

Sometimes, I like to look at the Undiscovered Artist’s tab because I want to see if there are any artists that deserve to be scouted.

And from time to time, I find an artwork made with AI.

I sometimes tell the artists who make these artworks that it would probably be better if they made art without the help of a machine.

I don’t say it with the intent of making the artist’s day worse, I just think that artworks made by humans , no matter how simplistic or masterful they might be are still better than something made by a robot. But after some time I started to think that maybe it’s kind of a shitty thing to go around and tell random people to pick up a pencil instead of typing a prompt for an art generator.

What do you think?

Is it ok to tell people to stop using AI and make real art instead or is it a bad thing to do?

Hello Ladies, Gents, girls, boys and anyone else, I’m sorry for not uploading that often. I’m still drawing on a daily basis but I want to give you my best and put as much effort into my art as possible , that’s why I’m lagging with the upload schedule.
